Catalogue note

A 1968 abstract from Raza’s pre-Bindu phase. Rich in ochre, burnt orange and deep greens, the work fuses the gestural freedom of the École de Paris with the light and heat of the Indian landscape. Dynamic brushstrokes and textured layers evoke a deep connection to nature, making it a prime example of Raza’s evolving style.
